[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 성인 대상 '목공체험프로그램'을 지난 4월 4일부터 총 96명의 체험자를 선착순으로 모집하여 4월 9일부터 5월15일까지 도마 만들기, 우드트레이 만들기를 실시하여 주민 및 관광객에게 높은 관심과 호응을 받으며 성황리에 마무리하였다고 전했다.

‘성인반 목공체험프로그램’은 주민 및 관광객의 높은 인기로 하루 만에 신청이 마감되었고 그 이후에도 추가 신청을 원하는 문의 전화가 잇달아 목공체험프로그램의 인기를 실감할 수 있었다고 했다.

가평군 산림과는 “앞으로 지역 특색에 맞는 목공체험프로그램을 개발하여 가평군민 및 가평군을 찾는 관광객에게 생활 속 목재문화 정착 및 탄소 중립 선도에 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
