[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가 지난 22일부터 속초시민의 선택(유료) 예방접종을 5종에서 10종으로 확대·시행에 들어갔다.

속초시보건소는 가임기 여성 및 아이를 돌보는 (조)부모 등 시민의 요구도가 높은 파상풍 ‧ 백일해 ‧ 풍진 ‧ 수두 ‧ 자궁경부암 예방접종을 추가 시행하여 경제적 이유로 접종을 망설이는 분들에게 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

확대된 예방접종은 속초시에 주소지를 둔 만 14세 이상 시민을 대상으로 하며 자궁경부암 예방접종의 경우 만 12세 이상 국가사업에서 제외된 남자 청소년도 접종이 가능하다. 또한 선택 예방접종에 필요한 풍진 항체검사도 보건소에서 추가 시행하여 시민의 불편을 덜 수 있게 되었다. 

속초시보건소 관계자는“기존에 시행중인 유료 예방접종은 유지할 예정이고, 접종비용 및 운영시간 등 세부적인 접종사항은 보건소 예방접종실로 사전 문의 후 방문해주시길 바란다.”라고 말했다.
