[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시는 지난 7월 8일 드림스타트 아동을 대상으로 체험과 놀이를 통한 맞춤형 성교육 프로그램 '소중한 우리 몸, 치즈 스마일!'을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

교육에 앞서 고양시에 위치한 고양낙농치즈체험장에서 아동이 직접 치즈와 피자를 만들어 먹는 등 자연 속에서 아동들에게 창의적인 활동 기회를 제공해 색다른 체험 또한 할 수 있었다.

이번 교육은 경기북부청소년성문화센터와 연계해 초등학교 1~3학년 저학년 눈높이에 맞춰 ‘생명 탄생의 신비와 타인의 다양한 감정이해를 통한 성폭력 예방 교육’ 등의 주제로 구성함으로써 아동의 건강한 성(性) 가치관 형성을 위해 실시됐다.

성교육의 내용은 수정과정, 임신 개월별 태아의 발달상태, 산모 체험 및 태아의 태동 체험, 타인의 감정 소통을 통한 성폭력 예방 교육을 진행하는 등 아동의 특성에 따라 단계별 맞춤형 프로그램으로 이루어졌다.

이번 프로그램에 참여한 한 어린이는 “임신, 태동, 아이 안아주기 등을 직접 체험하면서 나 자신의 소중함을 느꼈고, 성교육 스티커 북 체험활동을 통해 다른 사람의 다양한 감정에 대해서도 이해할 수 있었다”고 말했다.

류윤미 여성가족과장은 “아동들이 성적 주체로서 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 꾸준히 진행하겠다”고 밝혔다.
