이날 행사는 종전 권역동 업무보고회와는 다르게 의정부음악도서관 뮤직홀에서 음악과 함께 진행됐으며, 신곡권역 지역사회발전 유공자 표창, 신곡권역의 변화 공유, 계묘년 새해인사 퍼포먼스, 주민과의 대화 등 여러 가지 새로운 시도를 선보였다.
