[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시(시장 이상호)는 6일 시청 소회의실에서 지역사회 발전을 위해 기여한 모범시민 및 기관·단체를 발굴·시상함으로써 지역사회 구성원으로서의 자긍심 고취를 위한 ‘2022 태백시민대상’ 시상식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

문화예술부문 수상자 신선향씨는 2009년 이올러스 공연단을 창단해 사회단체 재능기부 및 시민들의 여가활동의 질을 높이며 지역 문화예술 진흥에 크게 기여한 공을 인정받았다.

지역개발 부문 수상자 오영희씨는 다문화가족 및 결혼 이민자들이 지역에서 정착을 잘 할 수 있도록 도움을 주며 30여 년 동안 자원봉사활동을 하며 지역사회 발전에 크게 기여한 공을 인정받았다.

효행선행부문 수상자 서재명씨는 성두 효 어르신 큰 잔치를 주최하는 등 어르신 무료급식 봉사, 집수리 및 각종 후원 등을 통해 지역사회에서 ‘경로효친 사상’의 사회 분위기를 조성하며 효행 및 선행 발전에 크게 기여한 공을 인정받았다.
