[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12일 대보정미소는 가평군청을 방문해 600만원 상당의 친환경 쌀(10kg) 200포를 전달했다고 밝혔다.

이번 전달식에 참석한 대보정미소 김석주 소장은 “쌀 소비 부진과 공급과잉으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 농업인과 지역의 어려운 이웃을 위한 사랑의 쌀 나눔을 통해 조금이나마 따뜻한 위로가 됐으면 한다.”며 “앞으로도 지역 상생을 위한 나눔 활동에 적극 참여하겠다.”고 전했다.

서태원 가평군수는 “지역사회의 이웃을 향한 따뜻한 마음과 관심이 우리 모두에게 전달되어 훈훈한 가평군을 만드는 것 같다.”며 “앞으로도 이웃을 향한 기부와 나눔이 넘치는 온기가 가득한 가평군을 만들도록 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.

가평군은 이날 기탁 된 쌀(10kg) 200포를 가평 관내 노인요양시설 10개소에 배분했다.

한편, 대보정미소는 평소 소외계층에게 관심을 갖고 매년 꾸준히 쌀을 기부하는 등 취약계층을 위한 나눔을 통해 이웃사랑 실천을 이어오고 있어 지역사회의 모범이 되고 있다.
