[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시새마을회는 지난 12일부터 '제77주년 광복절'을 맞이해 국권 회복을 경축하고 가정에 태극기 달기를 유도하고자 ‘광복절 태극기 달기 운동’을 전개했다고 밝혔다.

이번 홍보 행사는 차량 이동이 많은 포천 톨게이트 주변 용정교에 위치한 새마을 군집기에 태극기를 게양하고 광복절 태극기 달기 현수막을 게첨해 시민들이 태극기를 달 수 있도록 홍보했다.

이경묵 회장은 “광복절을 맞아 우리나라가 일본으로부터 해방한 것을 기념하는 날로 간절한 역사의 순간마다 함께했던 태극기를 게양하여 시민들이 나라 사랑의 정신을 되새기는 계기가 되었으면 좋겠다.”고 말했다.

조규석 새마을지도자포천시협의회장은 “우리나라 광복을 위해 희생하신 선열들의 숭고한 정신을 기리며 모든 시민들이 태극기 달기 운동에 동참하길 바란다.”고 말했다.
