이번 임기가 만료되는 '제9기 시민감사관'은 기존 명예시민감사관이 주민불편사항과 민원사항을 제보하는 역할에 머물렀던 것에 비해 시에서 시행하는 자체 감사활동에 직접 참여하여 제도 개선사항과 업무 절차상의 문제점을 발굴하고 주요 추진사업의 진행 상황을 시민의 눈으로 직접 확인하는 등 시민의 눈높이에 맞는 행정이 이루어질 수 있도록 감시와 조력자의 역할을 충실히 해왔다.
