이 기간 동안 각종 위원회와 유관단체를 만나 시정홍보 및 의견청취를 진행했으며, 특히 집단민원 해결을 위해 간담회를 갖는 등 현장 위주의 소통행정을 위해 적극적으로 노력했다.
주목할 부분은 ‘새로운 만남’이라는 콘셉트로, 육동한 춘천시장이 직접 읍면동을 돌며 주민들의 의견을 듣고 발 빠른 대응을 지시하는 등 적극적으로 소통에 임하고 있다는 점이다.
앞으로 춘천시는 수범사례 등을 전 직원에게 알려 적극적인 시민소통을 독려하고 지속적 관리를 통해 행정 신뢰를 강화할 계획이다.
춘천시 관계자는 “시민과의 만남을 통해 모든 문제를 해결할 수 없지만, 민선8기 춘천시정이 시민의 목소리를 들을 준비가 되어있다는 점을 시민들에게 알리고 싶다”고 말했다.
