[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시는 모든 시민들에게 자전거 관련사고 발생 시,  진단위로금 및 입원위로금 등이 지급되는 ‘2022년 동두천시민 자전거보험’을 가입했다고 밝혔다.

이에 따라, 시에 주민등록을 두고 있는 시민(외국인 포함)들은 별도 가입절차 없이 자동으로 보험이 가입되며, 전국 어디서나 자전거를 이용하다 사고가 발생하면 보장 내용에 따라 보험금이 지급된다. 

가입기간은 2022년 8월 11일부터 2023년 8월 10일까지이며, 보장범위는 ▶자전거 사망(만15세 미만 제외) 1,500만원 ▶후유장애 최고 1,500만원 한도 ▶진단위로금 최저10만~최대50만원 ▶입원위로금 20만원 ▶벌금 2,000만원 한도 ▶변호사 선임비용 200만원 한도 ▶교통사고 처리지원금 1인당 3,000만원 한도까지 보장받을 수 있다. 

사고가 발생했을 경우 ㈜DB손해보험으로 연락하면 사고접수 및 보장내용을 확인할 수 있으며, 보험금 청구는 사고 발생일로부터 3년 이내 보험사에 관련 증빙서류를 제출하면 된다.
