[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 12일 포천시는 햇님어린이집에서 사랑의 이웃돕기 성금 180만 원을 사회복지공동모금회를 통해 전달했다고 밝혔다.

햇님어린이집은 코로나19로 활동에 제약이 많아지면서 지역사회 내에서 안전하게 할 수 있는 활동을 탐색하다 지구별 지킴이 꼬마 NGO라는 프로그램을 추진하게 됐다고 했다.

최윤정 원장은 “어린이집, 아동, 가정이 함께 포천 환경 지킴이 활동으로 재활용 물건을 모아 아나바다 나눔시장을 개최한 수익금으로 소외된 이웃을 위한 나눔과 기부활동을 실천하여 아이들이 더불어 사은 세상을 자연스럽게 배우는 좋은 기회가 되어 기쁘다.”라고 감회를 밝혔다.

박윤국 시장은 “아이들이 몸소 체험한 나눔과 봉사의 즐거움은 앞으로 큰 자산이 되어, 사회에 꼭 필요한 훌륭한 인재가 될 것.”이라며 “아이들이 모은 귀중한 성금은 소외된 이웃에게 잘 전달하겠다.”라고 전했다.
