[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시가 약 4억 2천여만 원을 들여 야심 차게 추진한 시민의 날 행사에 대한 뒷말이 무성하다. 세금을 들여 추진한 행사 진행이 원활하지 못했다는 지적이 나오고 있는 것. 

포천시는 지난 7일부터 8일까지 포천시민의 날 행사를 개최했다. 행사는 포천 종합운동장에서 진행됐으며, 연예인 초청 등 주민들로부터 커다란 호응을 얻었다. 

하지만 같은 기간 관내에서는 억새꽃 축제, 개성인삼축제 등 다양한 축제들도 함께 개최됐다. 그러나 축제에 대해서 관리 미흡 및 혈세를 낭비했다는 지적도 나오고 있다. 

지난 10일 A 언론사는 올해 20번째 포천시민의 날 맞아 개최된 축제가 시민의 욕구를 충족하지 못한 채 수억 원의 혈세 낭비를 지적하는 기사를 보도했다.

A언론사에 따르면 지난 7일 포천시가 주최한 평생학습 축제, 농산물 축제와 개성인삼농협에서 개최한 제7회 개성인삼 축제가 비슷한 시기에 개최돼 포천시민들이 불편을 겪은 일과 행사의 효율성이 떨어져 세금을 낭비했다는 지적이다.
