[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 4월 22일, 평창군이 WBC복지TV 공개홀에서 개최된 '2022 지방자치행정대상 및 글로벌브랜드대상' 시상식에서 '2022 지방자치행정대상'을 수상했다고 밝혔다.  

평창군은 민선7기 공약 이행률 96.2%를 달성하는 등 각 분야별로 고른 행정수행 능력을 인정받아 이번 수상의 영광을 안았고, 특별히 대학 전학기 등록금 제공 및 어린이 보육시설 확충, 서울대학교병원 의료센터 건립 협약 등 혁신적인 교육과 의료 복지 정책을 펼친 공로가 인정받았으며, 올림픽 평화유산의 계승·발전과 농임산업 기반 구축, 코로나19 위기 극복 노력이 높은 평가를 받았다고 전했다. 

아울러, 힐링관광 거점단지 조성을 통한 지역 균형개발, 활발한 기업 유치 및 일자리 사업 등을 통한 경기부양 시책이 긍정적인 점수를 이끌어냈다고 했다.

2022 지방자치행정대상은 (사)대한기자협회, WBC복지TV, JJC지방자치방송이 공동 주최하고, 대통령직속 국가균형발전위원회와 국회행정안전위원회가 후원하는 행사로, 메니페스토 실천연대와 한국유권자총연맹의 추천과 기자단 투표를 통해 광역단체 중 1곳의 기초단체를 선정했다고 전했다.
