[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 지난 7일, 신규 공무원 임용장 교부식에서 ‘청렴거울’을 수여했다고 밝혔다.

이번 청렴거울은 신규 공무원의 공직생활 시작을 기념하고 공직자로서의 청렴 의지를 높이고자 양주시 반부패 청렴시책의 일환으로 탁상거울 형태로 제작됐으며, 올해 신규로 임용되는 공무원에게 배부할 예정이라고 전했다.

청렴거울 받침대에는 ‘청렴한 당신 멋진 공직생활을 응원합니다’라는 문구를 새겨 신규공직자들이 청렴거울에 자신을 비춰보며 표정과 옷매무시를 단정히 하며, 친절하고 신속·공정한 업무 처리를 다짐할 수 있도록 유도할 계획이라고 했다.

김종석 시장 권한대행은 “공직에 첫발을 내딛는 신규 공무원 개개인의 청렴에 대한 작은 실천이 모여 양주시 전체에 청렴 문화가 더욱 확산될 수 있는 계기가 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
