[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시(이상호 시장)는 오는 9일~ 20일까지 장보기 행사, 상인격려 등 지역 내 소비진작 및 지역 경제 활성화를 도모하기 위한 전통시장 활성화 행사를 진행한다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 설 명절을 앞두고 코로나19 장기화로 인한 소비심리 위축으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 전통시장을 돕고자 마련되었다. 

시는 오는 11일 황지자유시장, 장성중앙시장 등 관내 전통시장에서 설 명절 맞이 장보기 행사 및 캠페인을 추진하고 부서별 장보기 행사, 공공기관과 관내 단체 대상 전통시장 이용 안내문을 발송한다.

또한, 전광판 전통시장 장보기안내, 판매가격 표시제 홍보물 배부 등 시장 활성화를 위한 행사를 실시할 예정이다.

이상호 태백시장은 “코로나19 상황 속에서 침체된 지역경제 분위기 쇄신과 아울러 모든 시민이 행복한 설 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 민생경제 안정과 지역경제 활성화에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
