광적면 가납리비행장 내에서 개최되는 이번 행사는 지난 5월 가납리 민관군 상생협약 체결의 일환으로써 주민과 양주시, 군부대 모두가 화합과 상생의 의미를 깊게 되새기는 축제로 진행될 예정이라고 했다.

시와 육군 지상작전사령부가 주최하고 민관군 행사추진위원회가 주관하는 드론봇 페스티벌은 드론봇 경연대회와 함께 군 시범, 지역문화공연 등 다양한 볼거리가 마련됐고, 별도로 진행되던 양주 다문화축제와 광적면 건강걷기한마당이 함께 개최돼 더욱 풍성한 잔치가 될 전망이다.

특히 개막식에서는 민관군이 참여하는 드론 날리기 행사를 통해 지역 구성원들이 상생협력을 직접 체험해보는 자리가 마련될 예정이다.
