[장선희 기자= 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 지난 22일에 덕정 시장 일대에서 지역화폐 가맹점과 지역주민을 대상으로 양주사랑상품권 부정유통 근절 캠페인을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

시는 지역화폐 가맹점의 결제 거부 행위, 카드 수수료, 부가가치세 등의 명목으로 추가금 결제를 요구하는 행위 등의 문제점과 위법성을 집중 홍보하며 지역화폐 부정유통 및 차별 거래 방지 실천 참여를 촉구했다.

또한 지역화폐 부정유통이 의심될 경우 양주시 기업경제과 경제기획팀으로 신고할 것을 당부했다.

지역화폐 발행 확대에 따라 부정유통 우려를 해소하고 건전한 유통질서를 확립을 위해 소비자교육중앙회 양주시지회 회원 등과 함께 진행했다. 

시 관계자는 “이번에 실시한 캠페인을 통해 잘못된 상행위를 바로잡고 지역화폐가 지역경제 활성화와 소상공인 경제 회복에 도움이 되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
