[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 19일, 횡성군 공근면 지역사회보장협의체는 수백·공근초등학교를 방문하여 아동 8명에게 20만원 상당의 여행용 캐리어를 전달하였다고 밝혔다. 

지원 대상자는 공근면에 주민등록을 둔 관내 초등학교 6학년 아동으로 인구감소 및 출산율 저하로 아동수가 줄어들고 있는 현실에 따라 아동에 대한 사회적 관심을 높이고자 이번 사업을 추진하게 되었다고 했다. 

황원규 위원장은 “학생들이 공근면민으로서 자긍심을 가지고 지역사회의 일원으로 바르게 성장하길 바라며, 공근면 지역사회보장협의체는 앞으로도 공근면 아동을 위한 지원사업을 꾸준히 추진할 계획이다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.
