[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시가 온실가스 감축 및 탄소중립 실현을 위해 지난 2월부터 수소전기자동차 민간 보급 사업을 진행하고 있다고 밝혔다.

수소전기차는 수소를 이용한 전기에너지를 동력원으로 전기모터를 구동해 운행 중 배기가스 대신 순수한 물만 배출하는 무공해자동차고, 미래의 친환경 모빌리티로도 주목받고 있으며, 구매 시 하이패스 통행료를 50% 할인받는 등 다양한 혜택이 있다.

올해 사업량은 총 5대로, 지원 대상은 공고일 기준 포천시에 90일 이상 주소를 둔 만 18세 이상 시민이거나 관내에 사업장이 위치한 기업·법인 등이다. 

지원금액은 수소전기차 1대당 3,250만 원으로 개인 또는 기업당 1대까지 구매할 수 있다. 

신청방법은 희망하는 수소차 제조·수입사를 방문해 신청서 작성 후 관련 증빙서류를 무공해차 구매보조금 시스템에서 신청하면 되고, 현재 신청은 대리점에서 진행하고 있으며, 지원 대상 차종은 현대자동차(주) NEXO로 보조금은 차량 출고·등록 순으로 지급된다.

시 관계자는 “1만 대의 수소전기자동차가 운행되면 나무 60만 그루의 탄소 저감 효과를 볼 수 있다. 친환경자동차 전환을 위해 시민들에게 적극적으로 홍보하겠다.”고 말했다.
