[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군이 가을철을 맞아 산주 동의 없는 버섯 및 잣 등 채취를 근절하고자 단속 및 홍보활동을 실시하고 있다고 밝혔다.

캠페인 활동 및 계도 방송 등을 통하여 산주의 동의 없는 버섯, 약용식물, 잣채취 등의 행위가 범죄 행위이며 5년 이하의 징역 또는 5,000만원 이하의 벌금에 처해진다는 사실을 꾸준히 홍보하고 있으며 관습적으로 자행되던 불법 임산물 채취에 대한 주민들의 인식이 개선되기를 기대하고 있다고 전했다.

현재 가평군 산림과 및 읍ㆍ면사무소 담당 직원 10여명 및 가평군에서 자체 고용한 산림보호감시원 24명이 주기적으로 단속 활동을 시행 중이고, 동시에 관내 주요 역사 및 등산로 입구 등 6개소에서 캠페인을 실시 예정이며 마을회관, 주민 자치센터 및 읍면사무소 내 홍보물을 비치하는 등 주민 계도를 위한 활동을 실시하고 있다고 했다.

산림과 관계자는 “가을철을 맞아 우리군을 찾는 방문객 및 지역주민들에 의한 불법 임산물 채취 행위를 근절하고자 지속적으로 노력하고 있으며, 주민들의 인식이 개선 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
