포천시 관계자는 “지역화폐는 관내 소비 증진과 소상공인·자영업자 매출 증대에 큰 역할을 하며 서민경제에 도움을 준다.”라며 “이번 인센티브 한도 상향이 코로나19 확산방지를 위해 애써주신 소상공인들에게 조금이나마 도움이 될 수 있길 바라며, 앞으로도 지역경제 활성화를 위한 다양한 정책 발굴에 적극 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
