[김택곤 기자=영월군] 영월군은 영월별빛고운카드 출시 3주년 및 법정문화도시 선정 기념 등의 일환으로 단종어진 카드를 출시하였다고 밝혔다.

영월별빛고운카드의 단종어진 카드는 출시 3주년 및 법정문화도시 선정 기념, 단종어진의 선현정부표준영정 제100호 지정 등에 따라 제작하였으며, 지역주민의 역사의식 함양 및 정체성에 대한 자긍심을 고취하는 의미를 담았다.

영월군은 2019년 11월 30일 강원도 최초 카드형 지역화폐를 출시하여 2020년 321억, 2021년 415억을 발행하였다. 또한, 민선 8기가 시작되면서 2022년 11월 현재까지 620억을 발행하였다.
