[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 2023년 침체된 지역경제 살리기 및 소상공인 지원을 위해 2023년 가평군 지역화폐(이하, 가평GP페이) 10% 할인지원금 지급혜택을 연중 운영한다고 17일 밝혔다.

2023년 가평GP페이 할인지원금 예산은 약 23억원으로 이 중 군비 부담액은 20억원이 넘는다. 

앞서 정부는 지난해 12월 각 시도에 지원할 지역화폐 예산으로 3천525억원을 세웠으나 시도별 배분액을 확정하지 않아 국비 지원액이 편성되지 않았음에도 군비 편성액을 늘려 지역화폐 10%할인지원금을 지원하고 있다.

다만, 할인지원금의 지급 한도액은 지류형의 경우 10만원 카드형의 경우 50만원으로 구매한도액이 지정되어 있다.

가평군 관계자는 "작년에 비해 국․도비 지원이 부족함에도 불구하고 할인지원금 예산을 최대로 투입했다며 침체된 지역경제를 살리는 가평GP페이의 많은 사용과 관심을 부탁한다"라고 말했다.
