[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도는 한국수자원공사, 한국수력원자력, 도 경찰청, 소방본부, 춘천시, 화천군, 인제군과 함께 23일 강원도청에서 “댐 수문 개방 관련 수난사고 대응 유관기관 협력회의”를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 회의는 지난 2021년 5월 개최했던 유관기관 대책회의에서 수립된 안전 대책을 다시금 점검하고, 지난 8월 8일부터 4일간 집중호우로 인해 수문을 개방한 북한강 수계 댐 방류와 관련하여 수계관리 관계기관 간 상황을 공유하고, 수계관리 내 취약 지역이 없는지를 다시 한 번 점검하여 수난 사고에 대응하고자 마련됐다.

박동주 재난안전실장은 “수계관리구역 내에서 재난대응체계가 잘 갖추어져 있으면 관광자원이고, 미흡하면 취약지역이라고 생각한다면서, 이번 회의에서 논의된 내용을 댐 운영에 적극 반영하고 지자체, 유관기관과 지속적으로 협력해 앞으로도 홍수기 피해 예방을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
