[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 26일 코로나19 백신 4차 예방접종을 50대 연령층과 18세 이상 기저질환자, 장애인·노숙인 생활시설 등으로 확대 실시한다고 밝혔다.

군은 신종 변이(BA.5) 우세종화 등 현재 코로나19 확산상황을 고려하여 4차 예방접종을 통한 고위험군을 선제적으로 보호하고자 우선 접종대상자의 백신 접종 독려에 나섰다.

최근 접종효과 감소, 자연면역 저하 등에 따라 코로나19 재감염 사례 증가하고 있다. 가평에도 확진자수가 꾸준히 감소하여 지난 6월 이후 하루 평균 한 자릿수까지 떨어졌던 상황이 7월 중순들어 다시 두자리수로 가파르게 올라가고 있다.

접종 대상은 3차 접종을 완료하고 120일이 지나야 접종이 가능하며, 사전예약 및 의료기관 잔여백신을 이용해 접종이 가능하다. 

사전예약은 코로나19 예방접종 사전예약 시스템 또는 1339에서 본인 또는 대리로 예약이 가능하며 예약자를 대상으로 다음 달 1일부터 위탁의료기관에서 접종을 시행한다. 

그 중 18~49세 기저질환 및 면역저하는 접종기관에서 코로나19 예방접종 문진표를 추가로 작성하여 제출하면 예진의사가 이를 확인하고 예방접종을 실시한다.

또한 아직 4차 접종을 완료하지 않은 60세 이상 등을 포함한 대상군도 사전예약 후 접종이 가능하다. 

보건소 관계자는 “코로나19 예방접종이 신규변이에도 기존 백신의 중증 및 사망 예방효과는 유지되므로 4차 예방접종 대상자의 적극적인 접종 참여와 함께 아직 3차 접종, 기초 접종을 완료 하지 않은 군민 또한 예방접종에 적극 동참해 줄 것”을 당부했다.
