[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도와 강원도장애인단체연합회는 코로나19로 연기된 제42회 장애인의 날 기념식을 오는 7일 인제군 하늘내린센터 대공연장에서 개최한다고 전했다. 

코로나19의 장기화로 3년 만에 열리는 이번 행사에는 장애인, 가족, 자원봉사자 등 300여명이 참석하는 가운데, 축하공연, 장애인인권헌장 낭독, 시상식 등이 진행된다.

* 장애인의 날은 매년 4월 20일로, 1972년부터 민간단체에서 개최해 오던 4월 20일 ‘재활의 날’을 이어 1981년부터 나라에서 ‘장애인의 날’로 정하고 기념.  

축하공연은 제3회 강원 장애인 행복나눔 페스티벌에서 우수한 성적을 거둔 수상팀이 공연을 하며, 제23회 강원도장애인복지대상 3명, 강원도지사 표창 11명, 강원도의회의장 표창 2명 등 유공자 시상식이 있다.

특히, 제23회 강원도장애인복지대상 시상식에서는 원충의씨가 자랑스런 장애인 상을, 진윤주씨가 장한 장애인가족 상을, ㈜파크론이 고마운 장애인봉사 상을 수상한다.

우영석 도 보건복지여성국장은 “새로운 강원도 특별자치시대”를 맞이하여 장애인의 눈높이에 맞춘 다양한 정책을 마련하고, 장애인과 비장애인이 함께 더불어 살아가는 행복한 강원도를 만들어 나가겠다고 말했다.
