[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 올해 축산정책 87개 사업에 107억여 원을 투입해 어려움을 겪고 있는 축산업 발전과 지속가능한 축산환경 조성에 나선다고 24일 밝혔다.

 

신규사업으로 우수혈통의 한우개량 기반조성을 통한 한우농가의 고능력 생산체계 구축을 위해 ‘한우 수정란 생산 및 이식 지원사업’을 추진키로 했다.

 

관내 한우 사육농가 우량암소 110여 두를 대상으로 공란우(수정란을 생산하는 우량암소) 및 수란우(대리모)를 선정하고 약품처리 및 인공수정, 수정란 생산, 수정란 공급 및 이식 시술 등을 벌여 나갈 계획이다. 

 

고능력 한우 개량 촉진 및 생산성 극대화를 위한 한우농가 교육 및 컨설팅도 진행된다.

  

아울러 특수시책으로 ‘축산환경민원 조정협의회’도 운영된다. 가축사육에 따른 악취발생 및 해충 등의 문제로 갈등을 겪고 있는 민원인과 축산농가의 소통을 통한 해소역할 창구가 될 것으로 기대된다.

 

이와 함께 군 최초로 축산농가 퇴비 수거 및 경종농가 농경지에 신속하게 퇴비 살포를 위한 ‘가축분뇨 발효부숙퇴비 살포차량’을 운영해 친환경적인 경축순환농업 체계를 마련키로 했다.

 

또한 사료값 폭등으로 인한 자급조사료 생산이용을 확대하고자 조사료 생산기반 구축을 위한 ‘옥수수 조사료 생산장비’를 지원할 계획이다.

 

특히 가축방역 및 가축전염병 예찰 추진, 구제역 예방백신 및 접종 시술비 지원, 가축방역대응 지원 등 가축전염병의 선진방역 구축을 통한 해외악성가축전염병 차단으로 안정된 가축사육기반 조성 및 청정축산환경를 실현한다는 계획이다.

 

앞서 가평군은 지난 22일 농업기술센터 대회의실에서 축산농가 120여명이 참석한 가운데 2023년 축산정책사업 설명회 및 한우수정란생산 이식사업 교육을 실시했다.

 

이날 행사에서는 축산업 발전과 가축전염병 근절을 위한 결의문 낭독과 축산농가가 평소 지켜야할 축산환경 및 방역을 위한‘가축방역 퍼포먼스’도 진행됐다.

 

이 자리에는 서태원 군수를 비롯한 군의회 의장 및 의원 등이 참석해 사료값 인상 및 한우사육두수 증가에 따른 한우값 폭락으로 이중고를 겪고 있는 축산농가를 위로 격려했다. 

 

가평군 관계자는 “가평축협, 축산 단체 및 농가와 공조를 통해 지속가능한 축산환경 조성 및 질병없는 선진방역 추진으로 안정된 경영기반을 다지고 청정가평축산을 만들어 나가겠다”말했다.
