교통유발부담금은 도시교통정비촉진법 제36조에 따라 건축 연면적 1,000㎡ 이상 시설물의 소유자에게 매년 정기적으로 부과되는 부담금으로 교통 환경개선에 필요한 재원으로 사용된다.

올해 부과 건수는 2,000여 건, 부담금은 약 11억 원이며, 총 경감액은 3억 3천만 원 규모가 될 것으로 예상된다.

원강수 시장은 “코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 소상공인과 자영업자분들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다.”라고 말했다.
