[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군은 침체된 지역경제를 살리고 주민들의 일상 회복을 위한 ‘코로나19 희망지원금’이 추석 전에 지급된다.

고성군의회가 지난 9월 2일 본회의에서 팬데믹코로나 극복을 위한 희망지원금 예산 27억원이 담긴 고성군 2회 추가경정 예산안을 수정 의결함에 따라 군민 희망지원금의 전 군민 지급을 위한 속도를 낸다.

지급 대상은 지난 2022년 8월 31일 기준 고성군에 주민등록 되어있는 모든 주민이며 1인당 10만원을 지급할 예정으로 지급 완료 시기는 추석 명절 이전인 9월7일부터 지급하며 주민들의 불편을 최소화하기 위해 5개 읍·면 마을경로당에 접수창구를 마련하여 9월 7일부터 오는 8일까지(2일간) 집중 지원하고 오는 10월31일까지 모든 주민에게 일괄 지급한다는 방침이다.

고성군은 추석명절이전 지급을 완료하기 위하여 리·반장과 읍·면 행정복지센터 차량을 이용하여 대대적인 지급홍보를 추진하며 거동 불편 고령자나 장애가정 등 복지 사각지대 지원대상자는 위 기간동안 주소지 행정복지센터 담당 직원이 지원 대상 여부와 간단한 신분 확인 후 대상자의 집에 직접 찾아가 신청서 작성을 도와주는 ‘찾아가는 신청 서비스’도 동시에 진행하게 된다.

함명준 고성군수는 “이번 코로나 상생 국민지원금 지급이 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 주민들께 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다” 며 “사회안전망을 강화해 코로나19로 피해를 겪었음에도 법과 제도적 지원에서 소외되는 주민이 없도록 힘이 되는 정책을 실현하기 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
