[안종욱 기자 = 가평군] 가평군은 경기도 문화예술 관련 지원사업 중 하나인 ‘유휴공간 문화재생사업’에 대한 성과발표회를 진행한다고 밝혔다. 

본 사업은 문화예술 공간에 대한 활용도를 높이고 지역 주민의 문화적 역량 강화를 위해 가평군민에게 무상으로 관련 교육 프로그램을 제공하는 사업으로 지난 5월부터 약 6개월 여 간 가평문화창작공간 얼쑤공장에서 진행된 바 있다. 

올해는 스트리트 댄스, 주민연극단, 바투카다 3개의 교육 체험 프로그램이 각 분야의 전문 강사진의 지도 하에 진행됐으며, 프로그램에 참여한 약 50여명의 주민들이 그 결과물을 공연의 형식으로 발표할 예정이다.

특히 주민연극단은 이전에 단 한 번도 연극을 해본 적이 없는 50~60대 가평주민으로 구성된 순수 아마추어 팀으로, 6개월 간의 트레이닝을 통해 조선후기 판소리 대표작인 ‘배비장전’을 무대에 올리기 위해 구슬땀을 흘리고 있다. 

이번 주민연극단에 참여한 K씨는 “연극을 한번 해보는 것이 인생 버킷리스트 중 하나였는데 가평군의 도움으로 이렇게 이루어지게 되어 너무 감사하게 생각한다. 아직 서툴고 많이 부족하지만, 나 같이 소심한 사람도 노력하면 무대에 설 수 있다는 것을 사람들에게 보여주고 싶다.”는 소감을 밝혔다.  

본 공연은 오는 11월 2일 19시, 가평읍 대곡리 386번지에 위치한 얼쑤공장에서 진행되며, 가평군 음악역1939의 카카오톡 채널을 통해 누구나 관람 신청이 가능하다.
