[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가 코로나 19 재유행 및 저출산, 인구 고령화로 인한 헌혈인구 급감으로 혈액보유량 부족 상항에 도움이 되고자 속초시 직원 단체 헌혈을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이번 헌혈 행사는 오는 31일 속초시청 주차장에서 대한적십자사 강원혈액원 헌혈 버스에서 이루어지며, 오전 10시부터 오후 4시까지 진행한다.

속초시는 매년 2회 단체헌혈행사를 진행하고 있으며, 2020년부터 2022년 상반기까지 200여 명의 직원이 단체헌혈에 함께하여 이웃사랑 실천에 동참했다.

‘사랑의 헌혈’에 참여하는 10분이라는 시간으로 이웃의 소중한 생명을 살릴 수 있는 자발적인 이웃사랑 실천은 속초시 직원뿐 아니라 건강한 시민 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 헌혈을 희망하는 시민은 대한적십자사 혈액관리본부 누리집으로 미리 전자문진을 진행할 수 있다. 

이날 헌혈은 만 16세 이상 69세 미만 건강한 시민이면 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 헌혈 전날은 음주를 하지 않아야 하고, 헌혈 참여 희망자는 사진이 있는 신분증(주민등록증 등)을 지참해야 한다. 

참여자는 혈액형, B·C간염바이러스, HTLV 항체, 매독항체, 간 기능 검사 등 다양한 혈액검사를 받을 수 있다.

보건소 관계자는 “코로나19 재유행 확산 등으로 혈액 확보에 어려움이 가중되고 있는 지금, 소중한 생명을 살리는 헌혈 행사에 적극적인 동참이 더욱 의미와 가치가 있다고 생각한다며 많은 참여를 바란다.”라고 말했다.
