[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 오는 11월 5일‘2022 양주시민 걷기대회’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 코로나19와 아프리카 돼지열병으로 연기된 지 3년 만에 개최되는 주민 참여 건강걷기 행사이다.

걷기구간은 양주 옥정중앙공원 야외무대에서 출발하여 회천4동 행정복지센터를 지나 회암교에서 반환하는 왕복 4km(1시간 소요)의 코스로 운영된다.

또한 출발 전 다함께 준비운동으로 마련된 건강체조와 건강부스, 포토존, 가을음악회(현악 4중주, 성악/팝페라) 등 다양한 행사로 시민들에게 건강정보와 즐길거리를 제공할 예정이다. 

대회참여를 희망하는 시민은 오는 11월 4일까지 양주시청 홈페이지에서 온라인으로 신청할 수 있으며 행사당일 운영본부를 통해 현장접수도 가능하다.

양주시 관계자는 “건강 행사를 많이 기다리셨을 양주시민들에게 일상에서 벗어나 삶의 여유와 휴식을 느낄 수 있는 건강 축제의 장이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
