[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시보건소는 코로나19 감염 시 중증·사망 위험이 높은 면역저하자의 예방접종, 특히 4차접종의 적극적인 참여를 당부했다.

면역저하자에 대한 4차 접종은 금년 2월 14일부터 시행했고, 현재까지 전국적으로 접종 완료한 사람은 52만5천86명으로 37.5%의 접종률을 기록하고 있으며, 동두천시는 1,290명을 접종 완료해 44.6%의 접종률을 보이고 있다. 

국내 면역저하자, 요양병원·시설 구성원 대상 코로나19 4차접종 효과 분석 결과 3차접종군 대비 4차접종군의 감염 예방효과는 20.3%, 중증화 예방효과는 50.6%, 사망 예방효과는 53.3%로 나타났으며, 면역저하자의 이상반응 분석결과 전체 인구집단 대비 신고율은 낮고, 대부분 경미한 이상반응으로 확인됐다.

따라서, 면역저하자의 감염 시 높은 중증·사망 위험, 3차 접종 대비 4차접종의 높은 중증·사망 예방효과, 접종 후 낮은 이상반응 신고율 등을 고려할 때, 예방접종이 본인의 건강을 지키기 위한 가장 효과적인 수단이라는 것을 알 수 있다.
