[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 28일 동두천시 중앙동행정복지센터는 지역주민과의 상시 소통과 복지사각지대 발굴이 모두 가능한 방안을 마련했다고 밝혔다.

중앙동 관계자는 “그 방안이란 중앙동 SNS 페이스북 계정 생성을 생성하여 운영하는 것으로, 코로나19 오미크론의 전국적인 확산으로 인해 대면 활동에 제약이 발생함에 따라 시간과 장소에 상관없이 즉시 추진 가능하고 효과성이 높은 것이 무엇일지를 연구한 끝에 해답을 찾게 되었다”고 전했다. 

지난 1월 27일 중앙동 행정복지센터는 SNS 계정을 만들어 곧바로 운영, 주민과의 소통을 시작했고, 최근 실시한 복지사각지대 발굴 활동과 설 명절 이웃돕기 성품 전달 기념식 관련 게시물을 등록했다고 전했다.

중앙동은 앞으로 복지사각지대 발굴, 긴급복지 등 주요 복지제도 설명, 일상생활에 유용한 정보를 주민에게 알리고 소통하여 지역복지 체감도가 향상될 수 있도록 총력을 기울여 나갈 계획이라고 했다.

이춘우 중앙동장은 “이번에 개설한 SNS가 활성화 되도록 지속적인 홍보를 실시하고, 게시물을 통해 발굴된 복지위기가구 주민의 어려움을 적극적으로 해소해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
