[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 25일 의정부시 녹양동 지역사회보장협의체에서는 설명절을 맞아 겨울철 복지사각지대에 있는 취약계층을 위해 해피박스 전달 봉사활동으로 지역사회에 귀감이 되고 있다고 밝혔다.

해피박스 사업은 녹양동지역사회보장협의체가 추진하는 특화사업으로 명절을 맞아 사회적으로 고립된 취약가정에게 생필품이 가득한 상자를 전달했으며, 이번 행사에는 손소독제, 칫솔, 물티슈, 라면, 파스, 찐빵 등이 가득한 생필품 꾸러미를 협의체 위원들이 손수 구성해 어려움을 겪고 있는 복지사각지대 위기가구에 전달했다고 했다.

김충식 지역사회보장협의체 위원장은 “모두가 힘든 요즘 우리의 작은 수고가 누군가에게 희망과 위안이 된다는 것이 지속적인 봉사활동을 하는 힘이 된다”고 말했다.

이미현 녹양동장은 “협의체가 직접 준비한 꾸러미로 따뜻한 설명절을 보낼 수 있도록 도움을 주신 지역사회보장협의체에 감사를 표하며, 매해 어려운 와중에도 기꺼이 봉사활동을 해주시는 모든 분들께 감사드린다”고 밝혔다.
