[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 14일 의정부시 신곡1동지역사회보장협의체는 지역 내 나눔 문화 활성화에 지속적으로 참여한 후원처에 아름다운 나눔 이웃 23호, 24호 현판을 부착하고 격려하는 특화사업을 추진했다고 밝혔다.

2015년부터 추진한 이 사업은 지역 내 복지자원 발굴과 연계 활성화를 위한 동 협의체의 특화사업으로 연 6회 또는 100만 원 이상의 나눔 활동에 참여한 이웃에게 활동 유지와 격려의 의미를 담아 올해까지 24개 후원처에 현판을 부착했다고 했다.

23호 나눔 이웃은 신곡권역 생활폐기물 수집·운반 위탁 업체인 ㈜오커로 사내 자원봉사단 ‘황토빛 또바기’를 주축으로 주거환경 개선이 필요한 통합사례관리 가구에 폐기물 수거와 청소, 집 내부 보수 등의 서비스를 제공했다고 전했다.

24호 나눔 이웃으로 선정된 마음꽃은 올해 1월부터 매월 독거노인 등 정서 취약계층 2∼3가구씩 총 27분의 반려 식물을 후원했으며, 두 후원처 모두 신곡1동과 복지자원 업무협약을 체결해 지속적인 나눔 활동을 약속한 바 있다고 했다.

신성희 지역사회보장협의체 위원장은 “코로나19 장기화로 힘겨운 시기임에도 불구하고 나눔 문화 활성화에 힘써주시는 이웃에 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 주민에게 꼭 필요한 지속 후원이 가능한 복지자원 발굴에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
