[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 21일 의정부시 녹양동은 녹양동 새마을부녀회가 직접 만든 고추장 100통을 기부하며 녹양동 100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴잇기 운동의 시작을 열었다고 밝혔다.

의정부 범시민 이웃사랑 100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴잇기 운동은 연말연시, 설 명절을 맞아 지역사회의 따듯한 나눔 문화 조성을 위한 기부 캠페인이라고 했다. 

전춘화 새마을부녀회 회장은 “우리 부녀회의 작은 정성이 이웃들에게 기쁨과 위로가 되는 것을 보면서 오히려 더 큰 행복을 느낀다.”며“특히 올해는 코로나19로 어려움을 겪는 사람들이 많은 만큼 다양한 나눔으로 함께하고 싶어 고추장을 준비했으며, 오는 11월에는 든든한 겨울양식인 김장나눔을 계획하고 있다.”고 말했다.

새마을부녀회는 지난봄에도 직접 만든 고추장 나눔행사를 가졌고, 여름에는 삼계탕과 열무김치 나눔을 진행했으며, 추석에는 송편과 전 등 명절음식을 만들어 전달하는 등 지속적인 나눔봉사로 이웃사랑을 실천하고 있다고 전했다.

이미현 녹양동장은 “갑자기 쌀쌀해진 날씨에 이른 새벽부터 애써주신 따뜻한 마음에 감사드리며, 후원해주신 고추장은 도움이 필요한 가구에 잘 전달하고 소외되는 이웃이 없도록 세심히 살피고 힘쓰겠다.”고 말했다.
