[김준호 기자 = 동해시] 동해시의회(의장 이동호)는 12월 20일(화), 제327회 동해시의회 제2차 정례회 제7차 본회의를 열어, 26일간의 일정을 마무리했다.

지난 11월 25일부터 진행된 이번 제2차 정례회에서는 시정질문을 비롯하여, 2023년 세입·세출 예산안과 2022년 제4회 추가경정예산안, 의원발의 조례안 4건 등 총 22건의 안건을 심의·의결했다. 

2023년 동해시 당초예산은 집행부가 5,140억원을 제출한 가운데 예산결산특별위원회의 심도있는 심의를 통해 22억6천2백만원을 감액해 전액 예비비에 증액하는 것으로 최종 수정가결하여 예산안이 적재적소에 활용될 수 있도록 했다.

이어, 최이순 의원은 10분 자유발언에서  환경과 노동을 중심으로 한 동해시의회와 동해시가 나아가야 할 방향에 대해 제언하고 “앞으로 동해시의 환경과 동해시 근로자 여건을 개선하는 데에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

이동호 의장은 마무리 발언에서 “새해에는 강원특별자치도 시행으로 강원도에 많은 변화와 발전이 있을 만큼 동해시와 의회의 혁신적인 역할을 기대한다”며, “올해를 마지막으로 서로에게 힘들고 서운한 일들을 털어 버리고, 새로운 한 해를 맞이하길 바라며, 내년에도 제9대 동해시의회에 깊은 관심과 애정으로 성원해 주시길 당부드린다”고 새해 인사를 전했다.
