[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 올해 12월까지, 재활용품을 종량제 봉투로 교환해주는 ‘재활용품 교환사업’을 추진 중에 있다고 밝혔다.

시는 하반기에 더 많은 시민이 재활용품 교환사업에 참여해 재활용이 활성화될 수 있도록 지급 수량을 변경해 지급하기로 했다.

이번사업은 경제성 높은 폐자원의 수거율을 높이고 일상 속 녹색생활 운동 실천을 독려하기 위해 마련한 사업으로 올해에는 투명페트병 분리배출제의 안정적인 정착을 위해 기존 대상품목인 폐건전지, 종이팩에 투명페트병을 추가해 진행하고 있다.

품목별 제출량에 따라 30개(종량제 봉투 10L 1장), 60개(종량제 봉투 10L 2장 또는 20L 1장)를 지급했던 교환기준을 30개(종량제 봉투 10L 2장), 60개(종량제 봉투 10L 4장 또는 20L 2장)로 확대 보상할 예정이다.
