[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 북부지방산림청은 여름철 집중호우 및 태풍으로부터 국민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위해 추진한 사방사업 및 수해복구사업을 완료했다고 밝혔다.

북부지방산림청은 올해 집중호우로 인한 산사태 등 산림재해 예방을 위해 사방사업에 85억여원의 예산을 투입해 사방댐 19개소, 계류보전 13km, 산지사방 10ha, 사방댐 준설 21개소 등을 추진했고, 지난해 집중호우로 발생한 피해복구를 위해 산림재해대책비 182억여원을 투입해 산사태 101ha, 임도 7km 등을 복구했다. 

또한, 산림토목사업 이외에도 산불피해지, 산림휴양시설 등에 대해 상시적으로 점검해 피해를 예방하고, 피해 발생 우려지역에는 배수시설 정비, 방수포 덮기 등 긴급 정비를 통해 피해 최소화에 노력할 계획이다.

임하수 북부지방산림청장은 “이번 여름철 국지성 호우 및 집중호우로 인한  인명·재산 피해가 발생하지 않도록 다중이용시설, 산사태 취약지역 등에 대해서도 지속적으로 점검을 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
