[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군은 각종 재난·재해 및 사건·사고 발생 시 신속한 대응체계 구축을 위해 다목적 및 차량번호 인식 CCTV를 추가 설치·교체를 추진하고 있다.

군은 군민들의 건강하고 안전한 생활환경을 조성하기 위해 8억원을 투입해 올해 상반기에 범죄예방과 지역주민 및 차량 이동이 많은 지역에 대해 다목적 CCTV를 관내 14개소에 새롭게 설치하는 것은 물론 차량번호인식 CCTV를 2개소 4대 교체설치와 기존 149개소에 CCTV를 추가 설치하여 사각지대를 해소하고자 한다.

2017년부터 정선군 문화예술회관 2층에 CCTV 통합관제센터를 구축·운영하고 있으며, 365일 24시간 실시간 모니터링이 가능해 군민 안전지킴이 역할을 담당하고 있다.

현재 CCTV 통합관제센터에는 방범용 501대, 도시공원 40대, 어린이보호구역 112대, 쓰레기 무단투기 19대, 불법주장차 단속 18대, 산불감시 10대, 재난감시(하천, 적설 등) 98대, 시설물관리 13대 등 총 811대를 통합 관제하고 있다.

전증표 총무행정관은 군민들의 소중한 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위해 신속한 대응체계 구축 등 CCTV 통합관제센터 운영을 더욱 강화해 나가겠다고 말했다.
