[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도경찰청장은 21일 강릉 경포 여름경찰서를 방문하여 현장을 점검하고 어려운 여건 속에서도 범죄 및 안전사고 예방 활동에 여념이 없는 근무자를 격려했다.

이 자리에서 강원도경찰청장은 여름경찰서 운영 기간(7.8 ~ 8.21.) 동안 강·절도, 카메라를 이용한 불법촬영, 성폭력 등 범죄예방활동 강화는 물론, 범죄예방진단팀을 적극 활용하여 해수욕장 內 공중화장실, 샤워장 등 공공이용 시설물에 대한 범죄예방진단을 꼼꼼히 실시할 것을 주문했다.

또한, 자치단체 및 협력단체와 협조하여 취약시설에 대한 지속적인 방범시설물의 개선과 위험지역을 집중 순찰하는 등 공동체 치안 활동에 집중하고,원할한 교통소통과 교통사고 예방을 위해 적재적소에 교통경찰을 배치하고, 안전사고 방지 및 긴급구조 활동을 위한 지원태세를 확립하는 등 안전하고 쾌적한 피서지 환경 조성을 통해 동해안을 다녀간 피서객들에게 다시 와 보고 싶은 피서지가 될 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다해 줄 것을 당부했다.
