[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양구군은 지난 4월 10일 발생했던 대형 산불로 소실된 산림 복구를 위한 「양구군 산불피해지 복구방안 및 경관개선 기본계획 용역」에 대한 주민설명회를 오는 6일 오후 2시 문예회관 제2세미나실에서 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 주민설명회는 주요 피해지역 이장들을 비롯해 피해 산주와 번영회장 등이 함께 하는 가운데 피해지 조사 결과 및 복구계획을 발표하고 참석자들의 의견을 수렴하고자 진행한다.

양구군은 지역주민들과 산주의 의견을 수렴해 산불피해지의 산림복구 계획을 수립하고 숲길 및 탐방로와 어울리는 조림계획을 수립해 양구군 대표 명품 숲으로 조성할 계획으로, 용역은 올해 10월까지 진행되며 10월 중 최종보고회도 개최할 예정이다. 

또한, 양구군은 9월 중 1억 2,600만원의 국비를 투입해 산불피해지 긴급 벌채를 실시하며, 14억 원의 특교세를 투입해 산불피해지 산사태예방 복구도 진행할 계획이다. 

양구군 생태산림과장은 “일순간의 잘못으로 큰 면적의 소중한 산림이 피해를 입었고, 화재 전으로 완전히 복구하는 것이 쉬운 일은 아니지만, 이를 전화위복의 기회로 삼아 명품 숲을 조성하여 군민들에게 제공하겠다.”고 말했다.
