[김준호 기자 =삼척시] 삼척시는 인구감소로 지방소멸 대응을 위한 인구늘리기 시책 일환으로 강원대학교 삼척·도계캠퍼스 전입대학생 대상, 10월 24일부터 28일까지 추가 장려금 신청을 받는다고 밝혔다.

전입장려금 신청 자격은 현재 강원대학교 삼척·도계캠퍼스에 재학 중이며 2019.1.1.~2021.12.31. 기간 중 삼척시로 주소를 전입하고, 계속하여 주소를 삼척시에 두고 있는 전입대학생이다. 

추가 장려금은 대학교에 입학 후 졸업할 때까지 삼척시에 주소를 유지하고, 졸업 후에도 삼척시에 정착을 유도하기 위해 지급된다.

추가 장려금 지급액은 매년 20만 원 지급으로(최대 80만 원) 대학생들의 생활비 지원 성격이며, 삼척시의 지역경제 활성화를 위하여 지역화폐인 ‘삼척사랑카드’로 지급한다. 

추가 장려금 신청은 강원대학교 삼척, 도계캠퍼스 각 학과 사무실을 통하여 신청하면 되며, 기타 자세한 사항은 강원대학교 홈페이지 공지사항이나 삼척시청 홈페이지 공고/고시란을 참고하면 된다. 

아울러, 삼척시는 전입하는 대학생들에게 시 관내 영화관을 이용할 수 있는 영화관람권(1인 2매)과 재활용 봉투를 지급하여 지역에 정착하는 데 도움을 주고 있다.

삼척시 관계자는 “추가 장려금 지급으로 대학생들의 유출을 막고, 삼척시의 지역경제 활성화에도 기여할 것으로 기대한다.”고 전했다.
