[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 18일부터 오는 31일까지, 14일간 제1회 전국대학 스포츠 문화 페스티벌이 횡성실내체육관과 어울림마당, 횡성베이스볼테마파크에서 열린다고 밝혔다.

횡성캠퍼스총학생회, 횡성군체육회가 주최 및 주관하고 횡성군과 횡성군체육회가 후원하는 이번 페스티벌은 횡성군과 전국의 대학생들이 젊고 활기찬 도시를 만들기 위해 함께 마련한 행사이다.

2022 제5회 횡성군수기 전국대학클럽야구대회(7.18.~7.22)를 비롯해 제11회 전국로스쿨야구대회(8.6.~8.7), 전국예비의료인체육대회(7.23.~7.29) 등이 개최되며, 오는 22일 오후 5시부터 횡성실내체육관에서 개회식과 유명가수 등이 출연하는 초청공연이 열린다.

특히, 18일부터 22일까지 5일간 이어지는 2022 제5회 횡성군수기 전국대회클럽야구대회는 횡성베이스볼테마파크에서 열리며 횡성군이 주최하고 전국대학야구연합회가 주관하며 재학생 32팀, 약 700여명이 참가하고 18일, 오후 1시, 김명기 군수와 김영숙 횡성군의장, KBO 허구연 총재, 선수단 등이 참석한 가운데 개회식이 열리며, 우승기 전달, 시구‧시타 등으로 진행된다.  

한편, 이번 대회 전체 참가 인원은 약 2,000여명으로, 횡성군에서는 대회 관광객 유치를 통한 지역 경제 활성화와 지역 홍보 효과를 기대하고 있다고 전했다.
