[김준호 기자 = 평창군] 평창군은 11월 1일, 평창읍사무소에서 정주여건 개선을 위한 ‘평창군 농촌생활권(남부) 기본계획수립 용역 주민설명회’를 개최했다. 

이번 주민설명회는 기본계획 수립을 위해 관계자 및 주민분들 대상으로 사업 안내와 의견을 청취하기 위한 자리로 ,‘농촌협약’과 ‘농촌생활권 활성화 사업’에 대한 설명과 질의응답 등으로 진행되었다. 

‘농촌협약’은 정부와 지자체가‘농촌지역 생활권 활성화’라는 공동목표 달성을 위한 사업으로 평창군은 지난 7월 농식품부와 농촌협약을 체결울 통해 총사업비 376억을 확보했으며, 향후 5년간 남부 농촌생활권 활성화사업을 추진 할 수 있게되었다.

주요 사업내용으로는 남부권 4개 읍·면에 ▶아동·청소년을 위한 맞춤형 창의활동 공간 조성 ▶건강관리센터 조성 ▶마을회관 챌린지 프로젝트를 통한 12개소의 HAPPY700 거점 조성 등이 계획되어 있다.

군은 이번 설명회 이후, 다양한 주민 의견과  실질적인 수요에 초점을 맞추기 위해 워크숍 등을 계획하고 있으며, 추진위원회에 참여할 주민을 2주간 공개모집한다. 

주민(추진)위원회 참가의 자세한 내용은 평창군 홈페이지에서 확인할 수 있으며, 온라인이나 읍·면사무소에서 신청할 수 있다.

심재국 평창군수는 “남부 농촌생활권 활성화사업의 기초계획수립은 이번 주민설명회 이후에도 다양한 의견을 듣기 위한 자리를 추가로 가질 예정이니 많은 관심 부탁드리며, 특히 2주간 진행되는 주민위원회 공개모집에 많은 참여를 바란다.”고 전했다.
