[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 박상수 삼척시장은 7일 지역 주요 현안사업 협의를 위해 삼척시를 방문한 정의경 원주지방국토관리청장과 면담을 했다.

시에 의하면, 주요 현안인 국도 7호선 삼척시~동해시 구간의 국도 대체 우회도로에 대한 타당성 검토 용역 결과 설명과 함께 제6차 국도·국지도 건설 5개년 계획(2026~2030)에 반영될 수 있도록 원주청의 적극적인 협조를 요청했다.

이에 대해, 정의경 청장은 행정지원을 약속하면서 국도 38호선(도계~신기~미로) 미개통 구간(신기면 안의리)의 완전 개통을 위해 삼척시, 삼척경찰서 등 관계기관 협의체를 구성해서 현안을 공유하고 

주민홍보, 환경 민원에 대한 공동 대응 등 공조 강화를 삼척시에 협조 요청했고, 지역 경제에 도움이 될 수 있도록 국도 38호선(도계~신기~미로)의 조속한 개통을 통해 주민 불편을 조속히 해결하겠다고 했다.

박상수 시장은 “원주청 등 관련 국가기관과 협조체계를 구축하여 관련 주요 현안 사업들이 조속하고 원만하게 추진될 수 있도록 힘을 쏟겠다.”고 전했다.
