[김준호 기자=동해시] 동해시는 4월 1일부터 사회적 육아 지원 사업으로, 어린이의 발달과정에 알맞은 책 등을 제공해 부모와 아이가 책으로 소통하는 2023년 북스타트 사업을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

북스타트 사업은 연령별 ‘책꾸러미’ 배부, 영·유아 대상의 ‘가족과 함께 오감만족 책놀이’, 보호자 대상의 ‘책육아 Skill Up! 우리집 책놀이터 만들기’ 외 특강 및 문화행사로 운영될 예정이다.

책꾸러미는 연령별 그림책 3권과 가이드북, 독후활동용품, 가방으로 구성돼 있으며, 관내 영·유아부터 초등학교 1학년까지 300명에게 혜택을 제공한다. 

오는 4월 15일에는 영유아 보호자들을 대상으로 그림책을 활용한 독서 교육법을 주제로 아이들의 창의력과 표현력을 기르는 방법을 소개하는 북스타트 부모교육도 진행된다.

북스타트 부모교육 참여는 4월 2일까지 동해시립도서관 홈페이지룰 통해 신청할 수 있으며, 영유아의 보호자를 대상으로 선착순 20명을 모집한다.

전춘미 평생교육센터 소장은 “북스타트를 통해 책육아 지식을 얻고 아이와 보호자가 함께 하는 가정 내 책 읽는 문화가 정착되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
