[김준호 기자=동해시] 동해시가 예년보다 벚꽃 개화가 빨라져 기존보다 일주일 가량 앞당긴 오는  4월 1일~ 2일까지 2일간 봄철 대표 축제인 유천문화축제를 4년 만에 재개한다. 

이번 축제는 가족, 연인들에게 색다른 추억과 상설무대에서 펼쳐지는 수준 높은 공연으로 시민들에게 감동을 선사할 예정이다.

행사 첫날인 1일에는 벚꽃팡팡 플리마켓, 유천제례 및 지신밟기, 식전공연, 유천문화축제 개막식 및 동해시 개청43주년 기념 음악회가 진행된다.  

둘째 날에는 플리마켓 및 체험행사, 청소년 어울마당, 해군 군악대 연주, 벚꽃 나드리 축하공연, 유천 마술 한마당 및 버플공연, 청소년 어울마당 등 다채로운 행사가 펼쳐질 예정이다.

조용자 부곡동장은 “4년 만에 축제를 재개한 만큼 시 대표 벚꽃축제로 자리매김하기 위해 볼거리, 먹거리, 즐길거리를 다양하게 준비한 만큼 많은 시민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
