[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군은 침체된 지역경제를 살리기 위해 시행하고 있는 '정선 카드형 지역 상품권 와와페이' 특별할인 판매를 5%에서 10%로 상향하여 시행한다.

군은 지역경제 및 상권 활성화를 위해 지난 2020년부터 10% 특별할인판매를 시행해 왔으나 2023년 정부예산 최종 확정 결과, 지역상품권 관련 국비 예산이 대폭 삭감됨에 따라 지난 1월부터 일반판매로 전환했으나  지역자금의 외부 유출을 막고 소상공인 매출증대 등 상권활성화를 위해 3월 1일부터 10% 상향하기로 했다.

군에서는 올해 국비 10억 1,000만원과 군비 14억 5,000만원 등 총 24억 6,000만원을 투입해 정선아리랑상품권을 발행할 계획이다.

10% 특별할인 판매 적용 상품권은 카드형 상품권인 와와페이며, 지류형(종이) 상품권은 할인율 없이 정액으로 판매된다.

최승준 정선군수는 정선아리랑상품권 구매 할인율 상향이 경영에 어려움을 겪고 있는 소상공인들의 매출 증대에 도움이 되기를 바란다며, 앞으로도 지역 소상공인들을 위한 체계적이고 실질적인 지원정책 마련에 최선의 노력을 다하겠다고 말했다.
